The French Camp boys track team won four events and the girls two at the Region 3-1A meet last week at Madison Central High School.
Boys winners were Colby Walters in the 1600 with a time of 5:27.12, Davis Duarte in the 3200 (12:11.26), Willis McCord in the long jump (19-1) and Jason May in the pole vault (10-6).
For the girls, Ami Sherrif won the 800 (2:53.17) and Emil Holman the discus (81-7).
The top four in each even qualified for the South State meet that will be held Saturday at Madison Central. Boys who qualified are Walters with a second place in the 800; Duarte, second in the 1600; McCord, second in the shot put and third in the discus; Cameron McDaniel, third in the 800; Ian Paladino, third in the 3200 and Kevin Cundiff, fourth in the 1600.
For the girls, Tessa Mullins was second in the 1600 and 3200 and fourth in the 800, Sherrif was third in the 400, Maddi Davis was third in the 800, Elizabeth Albro took third in the 3200 and fourth in the 1600 and Arianna Vidal was fourth in the 1600.
