The Ethel boys basketball team would come up short in both games last week, while the Ethel girls basketball team would go 1-1.
This week the Tigers (1-5) and Lady Tigers (2-6) travel to East Webster on Tuesday. On Friday they will participate in the McAdams Tournament and face Louisville on Friday and J.Z. George on Saturday.
Lake boys 37, Ethel 34
Izik Stewart had 12 points to lead the Tigers, but the Hornets would come away with the win on Tuesday.
Dominguez Clark added 10 points for Ethel.
On Thursday, Ethel would fall to Winona 57-45 in the all-Tiger matchup.
Lake girls 40, Ethel 34
Destiny Felton had 11 points to lead the Lady Tigers, but the Lady Hornets prevailed with the win.
Takia Miller added nine points and Zakiya Dotson chipped in six points for the Lady Tigers.
Ethel girls 43, Winona 6
Zakiya Dotson had 15 points along with seven steals to lead Ethel past Winona in the all-Lady Tiger matchup.
Takia Miller added eight points and three steals, while Destiny Felton chipped in six points for Ethel. Abbie Ellington had four points, seven rebounds and one blocked shot.
