Ethel graduate and current Winona Christian School football coach and athletic director Junior Graham will be one of five honorees inducted into the Mississippi Association of Coaches on June 21 at the Hilton Hotel in Jackson.
Joining Graham are Ken Bramlett, Geary Jackson, M.C. Miller and Kenny Robinson.
Graham led the Weir Lions to the MHSAA Class 1A State Football Championship in 2003. He began coaching at Weir in 1993 and was head coach from 2000-2007, leading his team to three championship games.
Graham was head football coach at Eupora High School from 2007-2015, leading the Eagles to three district championships and the MHSAA Class 2A State Championship Game in 2012. He was head coach at Winston Academy for one year before taking over at Winona Christian.
As a head football coach Graham’s teams have posted a 182-57 record, while he has been named district coach of the year eight times.
Graham has coached in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Classic and Bernard Blackwell All-Star Football Classic, including being the head coach in 2006.
Graham, a graduate of Mississippi State University, began his career as basketball coach at Duck Hill, before becoming a football assistant at Winona High School.
