Central Holmes’ softball season came to an end on Saturday at the hands of a familiar foe.
After beating North Delta 7-2 in the opening round, the Lady Trojans lost 14-2 to Lee Academy and then lost 8-3 to Carroll Academy to end their season.

The Lady Trojans used a four-run fourth inning to take a five-run win over North Delta to open the Class 3A North State Tournament on Saturday.
Each team scored two in the first and Central Holmes added one in the third and four in the fourth.
Central Holmes had five hits. Kaylee Polk was 2-for-2 with a double, home run, two runs scored, two walks, and two RBIs. Morgan Bigbee walked twice and scored three runs. Carmen Edwards had two RBIs while Landry Gardner and Ragan Brown each singled and drove in a run.
Polk pitched all seven innings, giving up two runs on two hits while striking out seven.

Central Holmes 2
The Lady Phillies scored 10 runs in the fifth inning to send Central Holmes to the loser’s bracket on Saturday.
Lee scored two in the second and fourth before the 10-run fifth. Central Holmes had one in the third and fourth in the five-inning game.
Central Holmes had five hits as Kaylee Polk singled and scored. Carmen Edwards and Ryleigh Scott each doubled while Morgan Bigbee and Olivia McBride each singled.
Polk started and pitched four innings, giving up four runs on four hits while striking out six.
Carroll Academy 8,
Central Holmes 3
The Lady Rebels ended Central Holmes’ season on Saturday with a five-run loss.
Carroll scored two in the first and sixth and added four in the third.
Carroll had 13 hits while Central Holmes had 12 hits. Ragan Brown was 3-for-3 while Carmen Edwards was 2-for-3 with a double. Daynie Parish was 2-for-3 with a double while McKaylee Polk was 2-for-4 with a double.
Polk pitched all six innings and took the loss, giving up six runs on 10 hits while striking out 10.
