After a slow start to the season, the Central Holmes Lady Trojans seem to be peeking at the right time.
The Lady Trojans won all three contests last week as they beat rival Winona Christian 69-55 and Indianola 46-39 in district play. They also had a big 49-13 win over Deer Creek to round out the week.
The Trojans won two out of three contests, splitting a pair of district games as they beat Indianola 39-35 but lost to Winona Christian 70-41. They finished the week with a 39-30 win over Deer Creek.
Central Holmes has a pair of games this week as they were scheduled to host Canton Academy on Monday and Winona Christian on Tuesday. The district junior high tournament will be this week at Central Holmes on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Central Holmes boys 39, Indianola 35
The Trojans used a big fourth period to come from behind and beat the Colonels last week.
Central Holmes led 4-3 at the end of the first but trailed 16-13 at the half. The Colonels outscored the Trojans 13-10 in the third to lead 29-23 going to the fourth. But the Trojans outscored the Colonels 16-6 in the fourth to take the win.
C.J. Head led Central Holmes with 11 points while Lawrence Wiley added 10 points. Jace Dean added eight points.
Central Holmes girls 46, Indianola 39
The Lady Trojans started strong and took a seven-point win over the Lady Colonels on Thursday.
Central Holmes jumped out to a 22-6 lead and led 31-15 at the half. Indianola outscored Central Holmes 12-4 in the second to cut the lead to 35-27 going to the fourth. Indianola outscored Central Holmes 12-11 in the fourth but the Lady Trojans held on for the win.
Breann Bell led Central Holmes with 24 points.
Central Holmes 39, Deer Creek 30
After a slow start, the Trojans finished strong to take a nine-point win on a non-district contest.
Deer Creek led 8-0 at the end of the first, but Central Holmes outscored the Warriors 15-7 in the second to tie the game at 15-15 at the half. Deer Creek took the third 10-7 to lead 25-22, but Central Holmes outscored the Warriors 17-5 in the fourth to take the win.
Lawrence Wiley led Central Holmes with 16 points while Jalen Webster and Jace Dean each had six points apiece.

The Lady Warriors dominated the action as they took a 36-point win over the Lady Warriors on Friday.
Central Holmes led 22-4 at the end of the first and 30-10 at the half. The Lady Trojans outscored Deer Creek 11-0 in the third and 8-3 in the fourth for the final margin.
Breann Bell led Central Holmes with 15 points while Makaylee Polk added 13 points.
