Central Holmes got the basketball season under way with home contests against Manchester and Pillow.
Central Holmes was scheduled to return to action on Tuesday as it hosts Benton. On Thursday, it will host Columbus Christian and then will play at Deer Creek on Saturday. After being off for the Thanksgiving holidays, Central Holmes will travel to Tri-County on Monday, Nov. 26 and will play at Pillow on Thursday, Nov. 29. It will finish that week out by hosting Deer Creek on Friday, Nov. 30.

The Class AAAA Lady Mustangs pulled out to an early lead and never looked back as they held on to take a nine-point win over the Lady Trojans on Thursday.
Pillow pulled out to a 12-6 lead in the first period and led 24-20 at the half. The Lady Mustangs continued to pull way in the second half, outscoring the Lady Trojans 9-8 in the third and 9-5 in the fourth.
McKaylee Polk and Cameron Martin each had nine points while Breann Bell had seven points.

The Lady Mavericks overcame an first-period deficit and cruised to a 17-point win over the Lady Trojans on Tuesday.
Central Holmes led 12-6 at the end of the first period before Manchester outscored the Lady Trojans 15-6 in the second to lead 21-18 at the half. Manchester pulled away in the third, outscoring Central Holmes 14-6 and 13-7 to take the win.
Breann Bell had 10 points while Cameron Martin and Lindsey Turner had five points apiece. McKenna Polk had four points and led the team with five rebounds.
