The Central Holmes basketball teams won two out of three games last week, sweeping Deer Creek and Benton but falling to Pillow Academy.
The Lady Trojans beat Deer Creek 45-24 and Benton 49-12 but lost to Pillow 51-21. The Trojans beat Deer Creek 47-44 and Benton 66-25 while falling 58-39 to Pillow.
Central Holmes will return to action as they were scheduled to host Washington on Tuesday and travel to Tri-County on Thursday. Central Holmes will then travel to Carroll Academy on Friday to open district play.
Central Holmes boys 47, Deer Creek 44
The Trojans used a big third period and held on to take a three-point win over Deer Creek.
Central Holmes led 11-9 at the end of the first but trailed 26-24 at the half. Central Holmes outscored Deer Creek 15-4 to take a 39-30 lead at the end of the third. Deer Creek used a 14-8 advantage in the fourth for the final margin.
C.J. Head led Central Holmes with 15 points while Jace Dean and Lawrence Wiley each had nine points apiece. Brad Robinson had eight points while Cole McBride had seven points.
Central Holmes girls 45, Deer Creek 24
The Lady Trojans outscored Deer Creek in every period to take a 21-point win.
Central Holmes led 13-8 at the end of first and outscored Deer Creek 17-9 in the second to lead 30-17 at the half. Central Holmes outscored Deer Creek 12-6 in the third and 3-1 in the fourth for the final margin.
Cameron Martin led Central Holmes with 12 points while Breann Bell and Makaylee Polk each had 10 points apiece.
Pillow Academy boys 58,
Central Holmes 39
Pillow jumped out to an early lead and cruised a 19-point win. Pillow led 13-4 at the end of the first and 32-12 at the half. Pillow outscored Central Holmes 15-11 in the third to lead 47-23 going into the fourth.
Lawrence Wiley led Central Holmes with 13 points while Brad Robinson had seven points and Cole McBride added six points.

The Lady Mustangs built a big lead and took a 30-point win over the Lady Trojans.
Pillow led Central Holmes 11-7 at the end of the first and 27-15 at the half. Pillow pulled away in the third, outscoring Central Holmes 22-2 to lead 49-17.
Breann Bell led Central Holmes with nine points.
Central Holmes boys 66, Benton 25
The Trojans dominated every period as they took a 41-point win over the Raiders.
Central Holmes led 22-8 at the end of the first and outscored Benton 21-19 to lead 43-17 at the half. Central Holmes outscored Benton 15-5 in the third and 8-3 in the fourth.
Cole McBride led Central Holmes with 11 points while C.J. Head and Elijah Steen each had 10 points apiece. Artino Brown had nine points while Jace Dean had eight points and Lawrence Wiley added six points.

The Lady Trojans had little trouble as they took a 37-point win over the Lady Raiders.
Central Holmes led 30-6 at the half and outscored Benton 13-1 in the third to lead 43-7.
Cameron Martin led Central Holmes with 16 points while Breann had 14 points.
