The Attala County Self-Help Co-op offered a 2022 Summer Youth Mentorship Program, sponsored in part by Mississippi Association of Cooperatives. The program began in June and lasted until August. The program offered an opportunity for the youth to learn about the process of growing fresh vegetables from the preparation, planting, nurturing, caring and harvesting. The youth were given a stipend to meet each weekend for four hours on Saturdays. From left are participants Alyssa Newsome, Tyler Campbell, Jailynn Riley, Ar’jayy Newell, Makayla Riley and the Rev.
