Daily routine changes when on vacation

I am so old and set in my ways, and I don't realize this until something unusual happens. I get up at a certain time. I eat breakfast, lunch and supper at a certain time, and I go to bed at the same time each night. (Sometimes before sunset.) I always wash my hair on Thursday. I wear my favorite at-home clothes over and over.

Waking up early during hay season

The blasted shrill sound of my phone alarm starts blaring while darkness still blankets the outside world. I feel around my bedside table, knocking off my glasses, iPad, and yes, my phone as it continues to shriek with the classic sound of “electronic,” which I believe is the most irritating sound possible.

You can sit quietly or boisterously with friends or family on a cool day, or you can sit for hours reading a favorite book and napping along. A back porch is a luxury that is a wonderful place to enjoy.
