The French Camp baseball team stayed unbeaten with three more wins last week.
The Panthers took two games from Winona, beating the Tigers 14-4 on Tuesday and 7-3 on Saturday. The Panthers also squeezed in a 16-6 win over Starkville Christian on Friday.
French Camp, now 8-0 on the year, will begin division play this week as they host Sebastopol on Monday and then travel to the Bobcats on Friday.
French Camp 14, Winona 4
The Panthers finished strong and took a five-inning, run-rue win ver the Tigers on Tuesday.
French Camp scored three in the first and Winona answered with three in the top of the third. But the Panthers then scored four in the bottom of the third, one in the fourth and six in the fifth to take the win.
French Camp had eight hits and took advantage of five errors by Winning. Avery Summers was 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored while Logan Wright was 2-for-4 with a double and four runs scored. Benjamin Wright doubled and had four RBIs while Carson Philyaw singled and drove in two runs.
Philyaw started on the mound and pitched all five innings and gave up three hits and four runs on three hits and four walks while striking out 11 to pick up the win.
French Camp 16, Starkville Christian 6
The Panthers built an early lead and took a five-inning, run-rule win over the Cougars on Friday.
French Camp scored three in the first and second with one in the third and four in the fourth to lead 11-0. But Starkville Christian scored six in the fifth before French Camp finished with five in the fifth to take the win.
French Camp had 11 hits in the contest as Noah Dew was 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored. Nick Long was 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and six RBIs. Ethan Wright homered and drove in four runs while Carson Philyaw tripled. Will Taylor and Ryder Henderson also doubled.
Eli Winters started on the mound and pitched four innings, giving up one hit and three walks with seven strikeouts to pick up the win. Noah Dew pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up one walk and two strikeouts while Long gave up six runs on five hits.
French Camp 7, Winona 3
The Panthers finished with five runs in the last two innings and took a four-run win over the Tigers on Saturday.
French Camp scored one in the second and fourth and trailed 3-2. But the Panthers scored two in the fifth and three in the sixth to take the win.
French Camp had five hits as Carson Philyaw was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Nick Long was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
Ethan Wright started and pitched five innings and gave up three unearned run on three hits and three walks while striking out 12 to pick up the win. Avery Summers pitched two innings and gave up one hit and one walk.
