It was another rough week for the French Camp basketball teams.
Both teams were swept in a pair of district games. The Lady Panthers fell 59-22 to Noxapater and 49-17 to Sebastopol
The Panthers lost 63-25 to Noxapater and 55-40 to Sebastopol.
French Camp will return to action this week with a trio of contests. French Camp will host Ethel on Tuesday and Leake County on Friday in district contests and will then play on Saturday at Union.
Noxapater girls 59, French Camp 22
The Lady Tigers started fast and had little trouble with the Lady Panthers on Tuesday.
Noxapater raced out to a 22-3 lead in the first period and then outscored Noxapater 14-5 in the second to lead 36-8 at the half. The Lady Tigers continued to extend the lead in the second half and outscored French Camp 18-11 in the third and 5-3 in the fourth.
Brianna Page led French Camp with 11 points.
Noxapater boys 63, French Camp 25
The Tigers outscored the Panthers in every period and cruised to a 38-point win.
Noxapater led 11-4 at the end of the first and outscored French Camp 23-11 in the second to lea 34-15 at the half. The Tigers continued to extend their lead in the second half as they outscored the Panthers 18-4 in the third and 11-6 in the fourth.
Ethan Wright had seven points for French Camp and Nick Winters chipped in five points.
Sebastopol girls 49, French Camp 17
The Lady Bobcats pulled away in the middle two periods and took a 32-point win over the Lady Panthers on Tuesday.
Sebastopol led 5-2 at the end of the first and then outscored French Camp 14-4 to lead 19-6 at the half. Sebastopol then pulled away and outscored French Camp 20-4 in the third to lead 39-10 going to the fourth. The Lady Bobcats took the fourth period 10-7 for the final margin.
Sebastopol boys 55, French Camp 40
The Bobcats outscored the Panthers in each of the first three periods and took a 15-point win last week.
Sebastopol held a slim 11-8 lead in the first period and then outscored French Camp 16-6 in the second and led 27-14 at the half. Sebastopol then extended that lead in the third period and outscored French Camp 18-12 in the third and led 45-26 going to the fourth. French Camp took the fourth period 14-10 to take the win.
Nick Winters led French Camp with 13 points while Gavin Fox had nine points and Will Taylor had eight points. Ben Wright also had six points for the Panthers.
