Kosciusko was fourth out of five teams in a golf match at Starkville Country Club Monday. Tupelo was first with a 309 team score, followed by Starkville 316, New Hope 352, Kosciusko 354 and Clinton 355.
For the Whippets, Jeremy Gibson shot 83, Josh Gibson 84, Jon Gant 89 and Karson Rutherford 98.
The next match will be Thursday against Neshoba Central at Philadelphia Country Club. The Region 4-4A match will be April 12 at Dancing Rabbit.
In earlier matches at those courses the Whippets finished a stroke behind Neshoba Central at Philadelphia C.C. with 171 for a nine-hole match February 23 and had the team’s best match of the season at Dancing Rabbit March 9 with 339.
