The Kosciusko Board of Trustees unanimously accepted the resignations of the districts high school principal and athletics director Tuesday night.
John-Mark Cain and Kevin Pullen submitted their resignations earlier this week. According to superintendent of schools Gina Smith, the district will start immediately to fill the positions.
In other action the board hired Glenn Stevens as principal at the Upper Elementary and Dave Woodfin as the director for the Alternative School.
Other actions taken by the board include:
• approved a memorandum of understanding with Barksdale Reading Institute for funding for the pre-k program;
• approval of salary schedules for elementary, junior high and high school assistant principals;
• approval to advertise for counselor positions at sites to be determined;
• approval to advertise for two assistant principal positions at high school and two assistant principal positions at elementary school.
