Memorial Day is widely considered the unofficial start of summer.
Flowers are blooming, leaves are budding and youth from around the area are out of school.
There is no better way to welcome the season than with the multitude of upcoming events that will take place in Kosciusko.
Local organizations have been working tirelessly to put together multiple events not only for the citizens in Kosciusko, but alsoto hopefully bring in people from surrounding counties into our fair city.
The first of these events will begin Friday morning with the inaugural city-wide garage sale. Over 20 participants have registered with the KAP, but many more sales are expected around the city and county. It will continue throughout the summer with Jammin’ on Jackson, a live music event on June 17, the Little Mountain Ride on June 18 and the 9th Annual Sallis Day Festival on July 2.
So get out and enjoy the many activities around Kosciusko and Attala County.
