The Attala County Board of Supervisors opened bids for an upcoming bridge project during its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday morning.
The bridge, which is located on Attala Road 4137, is in need of repair with an estimated cost on the project being $264,638.
Of the five bids opened on Monday, only one came in under the estimate for the project. Fordice Construction was the low bidder at $256,417.
After the bids were opened, county engineer Christian Gardner looked over the bids and recommended the board approve the low bidder. Supervisors voted unanimously to approve the bid.
The bridge is identified as Bridge No. 31 and is located in District 4.
In other action for the meeting, the board:
• Approved a school bus turnaround.
