What started out as a plan to build a barn in which to hold their daughter’s wedding has turned into a full-fledged business for Susan and Chris Strohm.
“The Aisle” now has a rustic barn as well as an outdoor area for wedding ceremonies should the weather cooperate.
The barn, which can be used for a variety of events, is 80 feet by 40 feet, repleat with an antique truck in the 40-foot by 40-foot reception area that can be used for beverage service. A 20-foot by 20-foot bridal suite is available for wedding parties to get ready.
Ceremonies can be held outdoors on the deck at the edge of the woods. For the bride’s entrance, a white runner can be set from the barn door to the outdoor spot lit by tiny white lights.
The Strohms initially do not offer food and beverage services, instead allowing those renting the property to hire those services from anyone they wish.
Now that their daughter’s wedding has passed, the couple has begun booking a variety of events on the property, with weddings already slated for May,
August, September and October.
The property can be rented for a full weekend wedding, or by the hour for other events.
“This can be as elegant or as low-cost as you want,” said Chris Strohm while showing visitors the property following the official ribbon-cutting for the venue last week.
