Three Kosciusko men are charged with armed robbery following their arrest on Clark Road by Kosciusko Police around 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
Trishun Malone, 19, Jermel Ball, 18, and Rayshon Veasley, 17, all of Kosciusko, allegedly went to the Goodman Street residence of a man believed to be an acquaintance of the three.
“They pulled guns on him and robbed him of his personal property and fled the scene on foot,” said Police Chief Herbert Dew. Asked for details on the stolen items, Dew said the victim reported his wallet and cash stolen initially, and added his cell phone to the list later.
“He (the victim) gave a good description of them and Officers Voyles and Lewis spotted them on Clark Road and took them into custody without incident,” said the Chief.
Dew said although not all of the men were armed, they are all charged with armed robbery.
“Two of the three were armed, but all three actively participated,” according to Dew, who said the suspects ditched the firearms, wallet and cash just before they were apprehended.
“During the investigation, we went back and recovered those items,” said the Chief, except for the cell phone, which has not been located.
Bond on each of the suspects was set at $50,000 and the men were transported to Leake County jail.
They are expected to be arraigned in Kosciusko Municipal Court next Tuesday.
