District to host 6th annual Catch-A-Dream Change Challenge next week
The Kosciusko School District is supporting the Catch-A-Dream Foundation by hosting its sixth Annual Catch-A-Dream Change Challenge.
Students from Pre-K through 12th grade are encouraged to bring pocket change to their teacher September 6-13. The class that raises the most money will be awarded a field trip to visit the Catch-A-Dream headquarters in Longview.
One hundred percent of the money collected will be used to provide children with life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to experience an outdoor “DREAM” trip before their young lives are cut short.
The Kosciusko School District has partnered with Catch-A-Dream since 2010. During that time, 18 terminally-ill children have “gotten to get away from their illness and hospitals” because of the fund raising efforts of the children of the Kosciusko School District.
According to Dr. Marty Brunson, Catch-A-Dream CEO, the efforts of the Kosciusko School District have not only impacted the target audience (terminally-ill children) but entire communities and beyond. “The Kosciusko School District has embraced the vision of the Catch-A-Dream, and through their continued efforts they will continue to be a shining light for children in our community and across America,” Brunson said.
