An opportunity to clean up the City of Kosciusko is just around the corner.
The City of Kosciusko will be participating in the Great American Cleanup on April 22. The theme of this year’s event is “Clean Your Block Party.”
“We want individuals in each neighborhood to step up and lead clean up efforts in their own areas to help keep our city beautiful,” Kosciusko mayor Jimmy Cockroft said.
If your neighborhood is interested in participating, you can contact City Hall at 662-289-1226 to help coordinate the effort.
“If we all do a little, you will see much improvement in a short time, but to get the best results we need your help,” Cockroft added.
In 2015, the work of more than 5.4 million volunteers and participants of the Great American Cleanup returned more than $175 million in measurable benefits across more than 20,000 participating communities. Through programs like the Great American Cleanup, Keep America Beautiful transforms public places into beautiful spaces helping to make communities that are environmentally healthy, socially connected and economically sound.
