Sallie Windham, 58, a black female who resides on County Road 2221, has posted a $5,000 bond following her arrest Thursday on charges of manufacturing marijuana.
The Attala County Sheriff’s Department received information that marijuana was possibly being grown on the property and obtained a search warrant.
Upon arrival, Sheriff Tim Nail said law enforcement seized about 10 marijuana plants on the property. K-9 Victor was employed to search the residence, and additional marijuana and other items were seized in that search, Nail said.
Windham is due in Attala County Justice Court for her arraignment next Wednesday, but is not being held at this time since she posted the $5,000 bond.
