Kosciusko police have arrested Larry L. Winters, 34, a resident of Aponaug Road in Kosciusko, on aggravated assault charges after a 17-year-old male victim was stabbed at 104 Peeler Street Wednesday evening.
He is in custody at the Leake County jail, held on a $10,000 bond.
Police were called to the address around 6:09 p.m. for a reported stabbing. The underaged victim, who is not being named, had driven to Baptist-Attala on his own. He had sustained a four- to five-inch cut to the inner elbow area of one arm in the incident. Following medical evaluation, he was airlifted to UMMC in Jackson and was in surgery late Thursday morning.
According to Kosciusko Police Chief Herbert Dew, no motive is known at this time.
