Recently, Mississippi FFA Association State Vice President Tyler McClain visited the Kosciusko-Attala Career Tech to conduct an FFA leadership workshop.
The FFA organization is exemplary in that its state officers travel abroad stressing the importance of agriculture, challenging chapters to make a bigger impact in their communities, and sparking enthusiasm for new FFA recruits. Tyler covered several topics including methods of leadership, teamwork, FFA competition areas, scholarships, community service ideas and goal attainment. He and the chapter participated in the new social media craze the “Mannequin Challenge.”
Even though this was the very first time the entire Attala Chapter had met each other, Mr. McClain commended them on their hospitality, cohesiveness,and diversity. Attala FFA attributes the success of this event to MS FFA Coordinator Tiffany Gauthier, Vocational Director Tony Holder and staff and administration from all area high schools.
