Laura Sanders has announced her candidacy for Alderman in Ethel.
“We have so much work that needs to be done to grow; we need to welcome businesses and new families,” she said. “I would like for visitors to ride through and see our community gathered playing basketball or cooking out on main Street.”
Sanders, who has lived in town for most of the past 34 years, is a college student studying Human Services. She and her husband, Daniel, a welder in Louisville, have four children, Lexi, 14, Elizabeth, 10 and twins Annlee and Colstan, 6.
“I love my town. My children are growing up here, and I want to see it grow with them,” she said. “I'm extremely excited about this opportunity and hope I am given the chance to help our town grow with our schools and future adults that are being raised here now.”
