A fatality happened around 6:54 a.m. Monday morning near Goodman.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Troopers along with Attala County Deputies and fire rescue officials were dispatched to a two vehicle accident on MS Highway 14 near County Road 4127. Officials say that a 1996 Chevrolet van driven by Anthony Chambliss, 51, of Jackson collided with the front of a 1999 International Semi-truck.
Chambliss died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the semi-truck, Urban Cross of Kosciusko, was transported to Baptist Medical Center Attala with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
