Recent visitors with Robert and Jeannette Alexander were David and Offie Oakes, David’s daughter Diane and her granddaughter Payton. They enjoyed looking at the horses and Payton rode Adam’s horse around in the barn with Adam leading.
Also stopping by the Alexanders for a short visit were Royce and Linda McDonald. Linda is doing much better following her recent surgery.
Bernice Miller is doing well except for the arthritis which causes a lot of pain and stiffness. Keep her in your prayers.
Robert and Jeannette Alexander attended funeral services for Betty Robbins Taylor in Greenwood recently. They were met at the funeral home by Mary D. Ables. Betty was a classmate of Robert and Mary D. at KHS.
Beth Cain did not get a good report from her eye doctor last week. The doctor changed the shot medication, but she has to go back next week for additional treatment.
Johnny Cain, Beth’s son, has had cataract surgery on one eye with very good results and will be having surgery on the other eye this week. Let us continue to pray his vision will be greatly improved.
Brenda and Ralph Self celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary recently. Congratulations! They spent July 4 week at Flynt Creek near Wiggins with April and Rick Jordan who have a permanent RV campsite there. They also spent one night with Karen and Freddie Kuhn at Perkinston. April and Karen are Ralph’s sisters.
Brenda and Ralph also went to Tupelo to see their new great niece, Rosemary Gilliland, who was born to Ben and Elena Gilliland on June 20. Another addition to the Ramage lineage was the birth of Lucy Love Davis who was welcomed by parents Emily and Scott Davis, and brothers Will and Parker. They also live in Tupelo. Neal Ramage and other family members also came by to visit while Brenda and Ralph were there.

Vira Oakes celebrated her 93rd birthday recently. She is doing fairly well except for her arthritis. James, her son, has taken her to the Leake County auction several times as she enjoys seeing many of her friends there.
Sympathy is extended to Toby Tyler and family in the death of his mother. She was a very sweet lady.
