The Winona Christian basketball teams split a pair of games last week.
Both teams lost to Heritage as the Lady Stars fell 48-14 and the Stars fell 31-24.
Against Winston, Winona Christian swept the two games as the Lady Stars won 48-14 and the Stars won 31-24.
Winona Christian will return to action this week with three games scheduled. Winona will play at Manchester on Monday and at Carroll on Tuesday. They will host Marshall on Thursday to wrap up the week.
Winona Christian girls 48, Winston 14
The Lady Stars got off to a quick start and cruised to a 34-point win over the Lady Patriots.
Winona jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first period and outscored Winston 16-3 in the second to lead 31-5 at the half. The Lady Stars outscored the Lady Patriots 17-4 in the third to lead 48-9 going into the fourth. Winston took the fourth period 5-0 for the final margin.
Bella Roberts led Winona Christian with 30 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Audrey Eldridge also had 10 points and four rebounds.
Winona Christian boys 31, Winston 24
The Stars built an early lead and took a seven-point win over the Patriots.
Winona led 10-6 at the end of the first period and outscored Winston 7-2 in the second to lead 17-8 at the half. The Stars also outscored the Patriots 7-2 in the third and led 24-10 going to the fourth. Winston outscored Winona 14-7 in the fourth for the final margin.
Jake Ware led Winona Christian with 14 points, five steals and five rebounds. Reese Johnson had eight points, 12 rebounds and three blocks while Collin Parkinson had seven points and four assists.
Heritage girls 51, Winona Christian 21
The Lady Patriots pulled away in the second half and took a 30-point win over the Lady Stars.
Heritage led 12-7 at the end of the first and outscored Winona 11-10 in the second to lead 23-17 at the half. But Heritage dominated the second half and outscored Winona 12-2 in the third and 16-2 in the fourth.
Olivia Brooks led Winona Christian with eight points while Autum Lishman had five points.
Heritage boys 63, Winona Christian 37
The Patriots outscored the Stars in three of the four periods and cruised to a 26-point win on Tuesday.
Heritage led 19-6 at the end of the first period while Winona outscored the Patriots 17-15 in the second to take a 34-23 halftime lead. Heritage continued to extend its lead in the second half, outscoring Winona 16-7 in the third and 13-7 in the fourth.
Reese Johnson led Winona Christian with 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Jake Ware had 11 points, nine rebounds and two steals.
