McAdams volleyball began the season with a forfeit win and a loss.
The Lady Bulldogs were scheduled to open the season against Holmes County Central but received a forfeit because Holmes was quarantined. In the first match played, Vemla Jackson defeated McAdams 25-19, 25-21, 25-11.
“We did great the first two sets. The last set I'm not sure what happened,” said Coach Ashley Brown.
She was impressed by her team's performance against a larger school in the second year for the program.
“They served well. They returned well. I could see that they have grown a lot with their understanding of the game.”
Shawnessey Martin led McAdams with 15 points.
The Lady Bulldogs played Noxapater Tuesday and have a return match with Velma Jackson Thursday at home.
