Ethel seniors Alex Schuster and Hayden Graves have been named to the 1A all-state baseball first team, Schuster as an infielder and Graves as the catcher. Schuster also pitched for the Tigers.
Senior Reeves Threadgill was named to the second team as a pitcher.
The trio led Ethel to the Region 5-1A championship and the third round of the playoffs. All three were chosen for the North-South All Star Game June 12 at William Carey College in Hattiesburg and Ethel coach Chris Schuster, Alex's father, will be one of the South coaches.
The all-state teams were chosen by 1A coaches and were announced the first day of the championship series.
Stringer junior Jackson Parker was named 1A Player of the Year. Coach of the Year will be the coach for the winner of the championship series between Resurrection and Tupelo Christian. Resurrection defeated Ethel in the playoffs. Tupelo Christian won the first game of the series.
