17 Whippets on all-region teams

Kosciusko is well represented on the 4-4A all-region football teams with 17 players. Six were named to the Super 22, five to first team and five to second team, along with the most valuable quarterback. The teams were chosen by region coaches.

Whippets split 4

Kosciusko boys soccer split four games with victories over Northeast Lauderdale 2-1 and Enterprise Clarke 4-2, and losses to Newton County 3-0 and Ridgeland 3-1. Northeast Lauderdale and Newton County are Region 4-4A games, leaving the Whippets with a 2-2 conference record.

Bulldogs defeat another 4A opponent

Jacquese Greer rebounded a missed long range jumper from teammate Tyrick Davis, turned and banked the ball through the hoop with two seconds left to give McAdams a 59-58 victory over Louisville. It was the Bulldogs’ second victory over a 4A team this month, following a 57-37 win over Kosciusko 11 days earlier.

Whippets wide receiver signs with EMCC

Lee Wade will get a jump start on his junior college football career when he enrolls at East Mississippi next month following graduation from Kosciusko. He signed last Friday in a ceremony at the Kosciusko library.
