The Ethel Lady Tigers took a 7-3 win over Noxapater to finish up the regular season and the Division 5-1A championship.
Ethel finishes the regular season with a 17-8 record.
Ethel will take on Salem in the second round of the Class 1A playoffs with game 2 of the series on Saturday at Salem. A possible game 3 would be on Monday at Ethel.
Ethel 7, Noxapater 3
Ethel used a big fourth inning to take a four-run win over Noxapater on Tuesday to finish up division play.
Noxapater scored three in the top of the second to take an early lead. But Ethel scored one in the second and then exploded for five in the fourth and finished with one in the fifth.
Ethel outhit Noxapater 10-4 in the contest. Macee Sisson was 3-for-3 while Meredith Moudy was 2-for-3 with two doubles. Brooke Mitchell was 2-for-4 with a double while Brainy Rone and Hadlee Fancher each had doubles.
