County to look at work program

A new work program might be in the works for Attala County.

During their meeting Tuesday morning, county supervisors agreed to move forward in the process for an ordinance that will allow those sentenced with fines in justice court the ability to work them off.

Drugs recovered after trafic stop

Over 14 grams of drugs were recovered after a routine traffic stop by Attala County officials last week.

Last Thursday AC deputy Hugh Curry made a traffic stop where he then discovered 14.1 grams of ICE, drug paraphernalia and over $500 in cash.
