Clubs and organizations of Kosciusko

From the 1890s well into the 1900s, Kosciusko was a very social town with numerous clubs and organizations. Two prominent groups were the Bachelors Club and the Spinsters Dramatic Club. Becoming a member of the Bachelors Club was not that simple.

How autos changed Kosciusko

The advent of the automobile brought about the most dramatic change in the lifestyles and economy of Attala County. Henry Ford was given credit for this revolution when he, as they say, made a “Lady out of Lizzie.” In Kosciusko, O.K. Power’s agency distributed many of the first autos throughout Attala County.
