The Central Holmes girls track team continued their strong traction by winning the Class 4A North State meet last week.
The Central Holmes girls finished first with a team score of 75 to beat out Oak Hill who had a team score of 60.5. Carroll Academy finished fourth with 26.5 points while Winona Christian finished fifth with a team score of 19.5 points.

• In the girls 100-meter dash, Joshilyn Land was fourth with a time of 13.82 while Daynie Parish was eighth with a time of 15.72.
• In the girls 200-meter dash, Ally Kyzar was fourth with a time of 29.99 while Dayne Parish was sixth with a time of 30.67.
• In the girls 400-meter dash, Allie McBride was fifth with a time of 1:09.53 while Zoey Jones was sixth with a time of 1:10.89.
• In the girls 800-meter run, Lydia Killebrew was fifth with a time of 3:04.10 while Hattie Melton was seventh with a time of 3:09.56.
• In the girls 1,600-meter run, Lydia Killebrew was fourth with a time of 6:33.36 while Hattie Melton was sixth with a time of 7:06.28.
• In the girls 3,200-meter run, Allie McBride was second with a time of 14:20.36 while Lydia Killebrew was fourth with a time of 15:49.91.
• In the girls 100-meter hurdles, Joshilyn Land was second with a time of 18l01 while Ryeigh Scott was third with a time of 18.04.
• In the girls 300-meter hurdles, Claire Tate was second with a time of 53.26 while Ally Kyzar was fifth with a time of 53.91.
• In the girls 4x100-meter relay, the Central Holmes team of Ryleigh Scott, Joshilyn Land, Zoey Jones and Daynie Parish was second with a time of 54.88.
• In the girls 4x200-meter relay, the Central Holmes team of Ryleigh Scott, Joshilyn Land, Zoey Jones and Daynie Parish was second with a time of 1:56.49.
• In the girls 4x400-meter relay, Central Holmes was second again as Zoey Jones, Allie McBride, Claire Tate and Joshilyn Land finished with a time of 4:42.70.
• In the girls 4x800-meter relay, Central Holmes was second again with a time of 11:53.02 from the team of Ashlyn Tate, Lydia Killebrew, Claire Taite and Allie McBride.
• In the girls high jump, J.J. Brown with with a jump of five feet.
• In the pole vault, Claire Tate won with a jump of 8 feet, 6 inches while Ally Kyzar was second with a jump of 7 feet, 6 inches.
• In the girls long jump, Joshilyn Land was third with a jump of 15 feet, 6.75 inches.
• In the triple jump, Claire Tate was third with a jump of 30 feet, 8.75 inches while Allie McBride was fifth with a jump of 30 feet, 3.5 inches.
• In the discus, Olivia McBride was second with a throw of 80 feet, 4.5 inches while Dru Johnson was third with a throw of 77 feet, 5.5 inches.
Central Holmes boys
The Central Holmes boys finished fourth overall with 25 points.
• In the boys 1,600-meter run, Cayton Edwards was fifth with a time of 5:48.74.
• In the boys 3,200-meter run, Edwards was fifth with a time of 12:58.94.
• In the boys 4x100-meter relay, Central Holmes was third as Hudson Haffey, John Hudson Word, Cardell Mitchell and Ashton Tate finished with a time of 46.95.
• In the boys 4x200 meter run, Central Holmes was third again as Haffey, Word, Mitchell and Dan Lindsey finished with a time of 1:38.22.
• In the 4x800-meter relay, Central Holmes was fourth as D.J. Brantley, Cayton Edwards, Gibson Parrish and Josh Robinson had a time of 10:41.15.
• In the high jump, Bryce Hester was third with a jump of 5 feet, 8 inches.
• In the pole vault, Aiden Adcock was third with a jump of 10 feet while John Hudson Word was fourth with a jump of 8 feet.
• In the long jump, John Hudson Word was seventh with a jump of 17 feet, 5 inches.
• In the shot put, Bryan Gallagher was second with a throw of 45 feet, 10 inches while Cayton Edwards was eighth with a throw of 34 feet, 5 inches.
• In the discus, Gallagher was fourth with a throw of 102 feet, 10.5 inches while Hudson Haffey was fifth with a throw of 98 feet, 5.5 inches.
