The Winona Christian softball team got in four games at the Pillow Academy Tournament this past weekend.
The Lady Stars won two of the four games, beating North Sunflower 12-0 and Washington 7-3. The Lady Stars lost twice to Pillow, 4-0 and 5-1.
Winona Christian moves to 6-2-1 on the season. They are scheduled to host Pillow on Tuesday and travel to Winston on Thursday before playing in the Tri-County Tournament on Saturday.
Pillow 4, Winona Christian 0
The Lady Rebels only had one hit as they dropped a shutout loss to the Lady Mustangs on Saturday.
Pillow scored one in the first and three in the fourth to take the win.
Pillow outhit Winona Christian 6-1 in the contest. Sara Rawles had Winona Christian’s only hit.
Brantley Stanford started and pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three.
Winona Christian 12, North Sunflower 0
The Lady Stars took advantage of four errors and nine walks as they look a four-inning, run-rule win over North Sunflower.
Winona scored eight runs in the first inning and finished with one in the third and three in the fourth.
Winona had just six hits as Allie Rawles was 2-for-2 and scored two runs. Allie Leach was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Sara Rawles tripled and drove in three runs while Hannah Robertson doubled and drove in two runs. Terri Cain also had two stolen bases.

Brantley Stanford started in the circle and pitched four innings and gave up just two hits and struck out five.
Winona Christian 7, Washington 3
The Lady Stars used a six-run fifth inning to pull away and beat the Lady Generals on Saturday.
Washington scored two in the first inning and led 3-1 after four innings. But Winona scored six in the fifth to take the win.
Winona had 10 hits in the contest as Terri. Cain was 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Sara Rawles singled and scored two runs while Joeley Beckwith tripled and scored. Miranda McDaniel, Allie Leach and Allie Rawles all singled and scored.
Allie Rawles started and pitched all five innings, giving up three unearned runs on six hits.

Pillow 5, Winona Christian 1
The Lady Stars lost to the Lady Mustangs for the second time on the day on Saturday.
Pillow scored one win the first and two in the second and fifth innings. Winona scored its only run in the fourth inning. Sara Rawles was 2-for-2 while Terri Cain singled and scored.
Allie Rawles started and pitched all five innings, giving up five runs on 10 hits and a walk.
