The Ethel Tigers only got in one game last week and dropped a tight game to East Webster.
The Wolverines scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth and held on to take a 3-1 win over the Tigers on Friday.
Ethel will begin district play this week as they host McAdams in a doubleheader on Tuesday starting at 5 p.m.

The Wolverines scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth and held on to take a two-run win over the Tigers on Friday.
The game was scoreless the first three innings before East scored one in the fourth. Ethel scored one in the sixth before East Webster scored two in the bottom of the sixth.
East Webster outhit Ethel 7-2 in the contest as Ethan Bishop singled and drove in a run. Colin White also singled and walked while Lucas Gowan scored Ethel’s only run.
White started on the mound and pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up three runs on seven hits while striking out five. Gabe Caine pitched 1/3 of an inning and struck out one.
