With another close victory, McAdams girls’ basketball has won three in a row to surpass last year's win total. Following a 53-49 overtime win over Scott Central and a 42-39 victory over West Lowndes, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-1 with a 48-44 win over Pisgah.
“I feel good about the way we are playing. I hope we can keep it up,” said Coach Ashley Brown.
McAdams took a 21-12 lead at the half, but Pisgah came back to tie the score in the second half.
“After halftime, the pace of the game changed in their favor,” Brown said. “But with free throws and and a couple of steals, we were able to turn the game back around.”
Ameri Gadson had a career high 21 points and Shatikka Greer added 13. Brown gave those two credit for defensive pressure that slowed Pisgah late in the game.

The Bulldogs were defeated by Pisgah 52-41. The second quarter was divisive as Pisgah outscored McAdams 19-9 to take a 27-18 halftime lead.
“We gave ourselves a chance to win the ball game,” said Coach Kenyon Ross, but, “we're struggling offensively to find our identity. We played out of character during the first half. We turned the ball over more than we normally do.”
Cameron Fleming had 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Tyrick Davis contributed 14 points and four steals, and Kendarrius McBeath scored 10 points.
The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs played Pelahatchie Tuesday. Next games will be Louisville at home November 30 and Kosciusko on the road December 3.
