The Central Holmes Lady Trojans got in two more games while the football team remains in the playoffs.
The Lady Trojans split a pair of games last week, beating Deer Creek 51-22 and losing to Sylva-Bay 28-23 at the Benton Tournament.
Central Holmes was scheduled to play at Tri-County on Monday and then host Kirk on Thursday night. Friday night’s game against Clinton Christian will be played at a later date. Next week, Central Holmes will host Manchester on Monday and travel to Benton on Tuesday, Nov. 16. They will end the week on Friday, Nov. 19 as they host Clinton Christian before the Thanksgiving break.
Central Holmes 51, Deer Creek 22
The Lady Trojans overcame a slow start and pulled away in the second half to take a 29-point win over Deer Creek on Monday.
Deer Creek led 13-10 at the end of the first period but Central Holmes took the second period 9-2 to lead 19-15 at the half. Central Holmes pulled away in the second half, outscoring Deer Creek 16-3 in the third and 16-4 in the fourth.
Mackenzie Ward led Deer Creek with 20 points while Allie McBride had 12 points.
In the junior high game, Central Holmes won 35-10. Hallie Fancher had 10 points while Kate Riley had eight and Allie McBride added seven.
Sylva Bay girls 28, Central Holmes 23
The Lady Trojans struggled from the field and dropped a five points decision against the Lady Saints.
Central Holmes led 9-2 at the end of the first before Sylva Bay outscored the Lady Trojans 10-4 to cut the lead to 13-12 at the half. After each team scored six points in the third, Sylva Bay outscored Central Holmes 10-4 in the fourth for the final margin.
Mackenzie Wad and Taylor Spell each had six points apiece for the Lady Trojans.
In the junior high game, Central Holmes won 21-4 as Allie McBride had six points and Kate Riley had four points.
