The Winona Christian Lady Stars split a pair of games this past week.
The Lady Stars opened the week with a 12-1 win over Indianola and then dropped a 14-7 decision to Bayou on Tuesday.
Winona Christian, now 10-8-1 on the season, only had one game scheduled this week on Tuesday at Indianola.
Winona Christian 12, Indianola 1
The Lady Stars gave up just three hits in a run-rule win over the Lady Colonels on Monday.
Winona Christian scored two runs in the first and six in the second to lead 8-0. Indianola scored one in the third while Winona answered with four runs in the fourth.
Winona outhit Indianola 11-3 in the contest and took advantage of five walks. Sara Rawles was 3-for-3 with a double, triple, two runs scored and two RBIs. Terri Cain was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs while Lennie Wood was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Miranda McDaniel was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Allie Rawles walked twice and scored two runs while Brantley Stanford singled and drove in two runs.
Sara Rawles pitched all five innings to pick up the win, giving up just three hits and one run while striking out three.
Bayou 14, Winona Christian 7
The Lady Stars fell behind early as the Lady Colts took a seven-run win over the Lady Stars on Tuesday.
Bayou scored two in the first and eight in the second and led 10-1 after two. Winona added two in the third and four in the fourth while Bayou scored one in the third and sixth and two in the fourth.
Bayou outhit Winona 16-11 in the contest. Allie Leach was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs while Lennie Wood was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Miranda McDaniel was 2-for-4 while Hanna Robertson tripled and drove in three runs.
Allie Rawles started in the circle and pitching two innings, giving up 10 runs on 11 hits. Brantley Stanford pitched the final five innings and gave up four runs on five hits and five walks while striking out two.
