The running of Ed Stewart and Jamar Teague led McAdams to its first win of the season, 30-18 over Coldwater in the Bulldogs' first Region 2-1A game.
“Even though we won, we have a lot of work to do,” said coach Roy Rigsby.
Stewart carried 14 times for 114 yards and one touchdown. Over the last three games, he has run for 361 yards. Teague had six carries for 53 yards and two TDs.
McAdams scored touchdowns on 15 and 4-yard runs by Teague, a 25-yard Stewart run and a 13-yard pass from Jay Harmon to Chris Harmon. The Bulldogs were also successful on two 2-point conversions, a run by Stewart and a pass from Jay Harmon to Ja'myran Cross, and Arthur Massey tackled a Coldwater runner in the end zone for a safety.
McAdams will continue region play with a home game Friday against West Bolivar. “They're big,” Rigsby said. “They are going to come in and try to out physical us. We have to be ready for them.”
