For the McAdams baseball team to improve this year, it simply comes down to fundamentals, according to coach Terry Allen.
“We need to stay focused on the fundamentals. If we stay focused, we will be okay.”
Nate Donaldson is only a freshmen, but will be pitching for the McAdams for a third year. “He continues to get better,” Allen said. “He puts in the work.”
Junior Jatarrius Roundtree will also see action on the mound.
Other key players with varsity experience include infielder Tydarious Williams, shortstop and catcher Timothy Mitchell and infielder Roshune Webb.
Allen said Williams has the potential to be a very good player. “He swings the bat well.”
The coach said Mitchell has a high baseball IQ.
Mitchell and Roundtree were members of the basketball team that reached the 1A championship game.
McAdams will compete in Region 6-1A with French Camp, Ethel, Leake County, Noxapater and Sebastopol.
