The Tigers were thumped by Attala County rival McAdams 34-7 in their Region 3-1A opener on Friday night.

Ethel (0-4, 0-1 Region 3-1A) only managed just 32 yards of total offense (17 rushing, 15 passing).

Lady Tigers have a huge week

Ethel went 4-0 last week with two huge division wins over Philadelphia (10-5) and French Camp (6-5) along with two wins at the Leake Central Tournament over Forest (9-1) and Richland (10-2).

In the French Camp game Ethel was down 5-0 after the first inning but managed to come from behind to win.

Tigers come up just short in 7-0 road loss

Ethel did everything right but on the scoreboard.

Hamilton’s B.J. Jones would score on a 6-yard touchdown run on a fourth and goal for the only touchdown of the game as the Lions defeated Ethel 7-0. The win snapped Hamilton’s 12-game losing streak. Their last win came in last season’s opener against Coldwater.
