Work will continue at the Attala County Library.
Earlier this year, a roofing project began at the library. At the Attala County Board of Supervisors’ recent meeting, the board approved a change order for work on the library’s handicap parking lot, ramp and entrance, which includes the door threshold and opener.
According to Chancery Clerk Taylor Casey, there were some funds in the contract for remedial work, so the county was able to include it and have the current contractor get the work done.
The parking lot work will include milling, overlay and re-striping. Excess concrete will be removed, and a ramp will be added.
The work on the entrance will make it more assessable to those who are handicapped.
