Attala County Sheriffs Office deputies arrested two Jackson men last week after an alleged fraud on a Craigslist purchase. Christopher Jackson, 31, and Willis Weddick, 34, were arrested and charged with felony false pretense.
According to Attala County Sherriff Tim Nail, the accused were purchasing a tractor through the classified advertising website.
“The tractor was purchased with a bank account number and routing number and after the pickup was made the account came up as fraud,” Nail said. “We worked together with the Mississippi Agricutlural Bureau and were able to locate other property that was part of the Craigslist operation.”
