A mother of four who drowned in the Louisiana Gulf this week has been identified as a 28-year-old Ethel woman, according to reports by KPLC News.
The Lake Charles, Louisiana-based TV station reported Wednesday that Samantha Alexander of Ethel and her 7- and 8-year-old daughters perished in the Gulf near Long Beach Road in Cameron Parish on Sunday. Her 9-year-old son was rescued and survived.
To help the family of Alexander, a GoFundMe page has been created. Click here to donate.
The GoFundMe page states, “On Sunday, March 12, 2023, Samantha Alexander and her four kids went for a swim in the gulf near Cameron Parish, Louisiana. During this outing, Sam and three of the kids were caught in a strong current. Sam and two daughters passed away, while one son was found unresponsive and rushed to the hospital.”
Donations will help with funeral and memorial service costs, medical expenses, and living expenses as Alexander’s husband takes time off work to be with his 9-year-old recovering from the accident and the couple’s youngest child.
