Shootout tournament makes for a barnburner

Kosciusko-McAdams boys basketball, the last of 15 games over two days at the McAdams Shootout, was everything you would expect and hope for in a rivalry game.

It was a true barnburner, with a miraculous comeback to force overtime and a game that was not decided until the final buzzer.

Kosciusko Boys' soccer coach sees silver lining in 3-1 Loss to Ridgeland

Coaches never like to lose, but Kosciusko boys soccer coach Greg Cooper said there were positives from a 3-1 road loss to Ridgeland, a 6A team with a strong tradition in the sport.

“It was not a bad outcome,” he said. “I’m really proud of what we did. Ridgeland is a good team.”

Sixteen players garner Region 3-4A recognition

Sixteen Kosciusko football players received Region 3-4A recognition, including four who were named to the Super 22 team by the coaches.

Chosen for Super 22 are offensive lineman Cory Fuller, defensive lineman Reggie Carter, wide receiver Tyran Mosley and defensive back Jaquavous Pace. All are seniors.
