Ethel's “Home Sweet Homecoming” shines

Homecoming week in Ethel brought out plenty of tradition – “Home Sweet Homecoming,” themed days at school, a float parade down Main Street, and the homecoming court’s walk across the field before Friday’s game against Greenville Christian. The evening also included the crowning of this year’s homecoming queen, Hadlee Fancher.

Ethel Lady Tigers bounces back against McAdams

Ethel volleyball came up short in its matchup with Nanih Waiya for first place in Region 5-1A last week, losing the contest 3-0. The Lady Tigers bounced back with a 3-0 region win over McAdams, to mark their third region win of the season and bring their overall record to 9-8 (3-1 in region play).

Ethel Tigers prepare for Homecoming

Ethel Football lost a heartbreaker on the road at Eupora 14-0 last week. The game was tied 0-0 through three quarters of play, but in the fourth the Eagles were able to punch it in, and create a defensive score to hand the Tigers their second loss of the season.
Ethel now stands at 1-2 and have yet to play a region game.

MSU Bulldogs bury Golden Gophers 38-13

Mississippi State delivered another strong offensive performance, rolling past Minnesota 38‑13 in Minneapolis over the weekend. The Bulldogs, led by budding star Kamario Taylor, totaled 479 yards of offense, putting them atop the SEC in total yardage so far this season.
