The recent article about our town’s heroic namesake Thadeusz Kosciuszko was certainly timely and enhanced by the photo of our handsome statue. In researching the Polish patriot, I came across the following poignant account: Following Kosciuszko’s death, the undertaker was undressing his body and a white handkerchief fell from his chest area.
