Leake County Officials have said that a 19-year-old is now in custody after he was accused of fatally stabbing his stepfather.
According to authorities, deputies were called around 10 a.m. Sunday to a home on the 5200 block of Hwy. 488. Once on scene deputies found Danny Kent, 40, lying on the ground and his stepson, Cody Lee, nearby.
Kent was taken to Baptist Memorial Leake Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He had been stabbed more than once, investigators said.
Lee was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held at the Leake County Jail.
