Lady Whippets win Region 4

The Kosciusko Lady Whippets finished the regular season with an 18-5 overall record after defeating West Lauderdale 1-0 last Tuesday night. The Lady Whippets earned the Region 4 Championship with the win and drew a first-round bye.

Area teams set for playoffs

The Kosciusko Whippets ended the regular season with a 16-8 overall record and were 6-4 in Region 4-4A play to earn a No. 3 seed in the playoffs. Houston won the region with a 9-1 while West Lauderdale finished second at 8-2.

Terry wins 200th

In the spring of 2004, high school fastpitch was nonexistent at Kosciusko. That all changed in 2005 when Kosciusko alumnus and assistant baseball coach Tony Terry was given the opportunity to be head coach of the first-ever Lady Whippet fastpitch team. Assisting Terry in this endeavor were coaches Joey Abels and Peggy Ables.
