The French Camp baseball team had its season come to an end on Friday night, losing for the second consecutive time to Nanih Waiya in the best-of-three 1A South State Quarterfinals.
The Panthers lost game one to Nanih Waiya 10-1 on Thursday night and lost at home on Friday night 6-4 to finish their season with a 13-12 overall record and a Region 6 Championship.
In game one against Nanih Waiya on Thursday night Luke McKnight got the start and took the loss in five innings of work.
McKnight allowed nine hits, eight runs (four earned) and walked four while striking out three.
Brady Jackson pitched the final inning for the Panthers and allowed one hit, two runs (none earned) while walking none.
The offensive leaders for the Panthers were Corrie Witt with one run scored, Zach Avent with a single and Brooks Warren with a double.
Back in French Camp on Friday night, Warren got the start and pitched seven innings, allowing five hits, six runs (four earned) and two walks while striking out six.
The offensive leaders for the Panthers were Witt with two runs scored; Conner Windham with a single; Fletcher Travis with a triple, one run scored and one RBI; Warren with a single and one RBI and Colin Perry with two singles and one run scored.
